At what stage during my pregnancy is it ok to have a treatment?

Pregnancy massage is completely safe from the moment of conception right up until birth. It is important to let your therapist know what stage of pregnancy you are at so they can make sure you are comfortable and safe and tailor the treatment to assist with what symptoms you might be feeling.

What are some benefits of Pregnancy Massage?

Overall, pregnancy massage is a great way to calm your mind and relax your body in this time of immense change. It is a beautiful way to connect with your Bub and support the many structural changes your body experiences. Pregnancy massage can be beneficial for different reasons at different stages of pregnancy. In early stages it helps combat some of the symptoms which come with the first trimester such as nausea, fatigue and headaches. As you progress through pregnancy and into your second and third trimester, massage supports the structural changes which occur in the body that allow Bub to grow and develop as well as hormonal changes and emotional well-being. In the third trimester, pregnancy massage is all about preparing for birth and labour by loosening muscles and getting you into a more relaxed state.

How often can I come for pregnancy massage treatments?

It is safe to have pregnancy massage regularly. Recommendation on how close your treatments should be from a therapeutic point of view will be discussed by your therapist and will depend on your presenting conditions, symptoms and treatment plan. It is generally recommended to have a treatment once a month and more often if you are experiencing pain or discomfort or are nearing the end of pregnancy where we begin to prepare your body for birth.

Do you have belly holes in your massage beds?

From second trimester or if you are uncomfortable laying flat, we use side lying position for our treatments. This position is recommended as the safest position by Pregnancy Massage Australia. We also use lush body pillows to help support your body and belly to help ensure complete comfort.

I received a voucher while I was pregnant but have already had my baby… Can I still use it?

Yes! You are welcome to come and enjoy a post-pregnancy massage. Alternatively you can use the value of your gift voucher towards another treatment.

What are the benefits of Post Pregnancy massage?

How soon after birth, can I come for a Post Pregnancy treatment?

However Post-natal massages can be up to 6 months after giving birth. If you have had a c-section it is recommended to wait 6 weeks unless medical clearance is given from your care provider.
